Babs is a beaver who is a friend to Reader Rabbit and his other friends in Wordville.
Appearance[]
Babs is an anthropomorphic beaver with brown fur and light brown fur from her lower face to her belly. She has a black nose, tall buck teeth, curved eyelashes, small ears, and a bushy tuft of fur on her head, which is often hidden under her headwear. In her appearance in Reader Rabbit Kindergarten, she has long whiskers.
Babs wears blue dungarees and a yellow hard hat in most of her appearances. During her show performance in Reader Rabbit 1st Grade, she wears a princess costume, consisting of a rosy pink dress and shoes and a pink hennin with gold details and a deep pink veil. In Reader Rabbit Thinking Adventures Ages 4-6, she wears a white apron and chef's hat.
In the DVD movies and e-books, Babs has dark brown fur with a tan tuft of fur on her head and a tan muzzle with long whiskers, and wears a light pink dress with an orange waistline.

Reader Rabbit Kindergarten[]
Babs makes her debut in Reader Rabbit Kindergarten, in which she works as a forest ranger, planting seeds to help the camp forest and helping Mat the Mouse find missing adventure essentials and her book of ghost stories, which Spike the Porcupine hid in the forest. At the campfire party, she tells two of her ghost stories: The Beaver's Tale and Night Flight.
Reader Rabbit 1st Grade[]
In Reader Rabbit 1st Grade, Babs works on building the props and sets for Wordville's Really Big Show at her workshop, then costars with Papa Bear in the show as Princess Babs.
Reader Rabbit Math Adventures Ages 6-9[]
In Reader Rabbit Math Adventures Ages 6-9, Babs, along with the other Wordville critters, appears in the crowd in the intro sequence, when the boat race is about to begin. She is seen when Sam the Lion is waving to Reader Rabbit at the dock.
Reader Rabbit: Playtime for Baby[]
In Reader Rabbit: Playtime for Baby, Babs occasionally appears in the right square window of the Discovery House.
Reader Rabbit Thinking Adventures Ages 4-6[]
In Reader Rabbit Thinking Adventures Ages 4-6, Babs has her own cabin and kitchen, where she volunteers to make cookies and prepare some treat bags for Sam's birthday party.
Learning Creations[]
In Learning Creations, Babs appears in the Make a Masterpiece!/Paint a Picture! activity as a sticker and in the Rhythm Room activity as a keyboard player.
