Buster is a friend to Reader Rabbit, Mat the Mouse and Sam the Lion. He is a car with an orange body, gold doors and headlights with eyes, a yellow front vent, blue wheel covers, brown seats, a silver badge, window frames and bumpers. He also has a folding roof at the back. He is Sam's good friend and provides him transport. It is shown that he can transform into other vehicles like a boat and other objects like a radio. He is capable of choosing his own direction and makes banging, popping and snapping sounds when communicating with his friends.

Buster appears in Reader Rabbit's Interactive Reading Journey 2 as Reader, Mat and Sam's choice of transport, taking them down the Road to Imagination in order to help Sam find his imagination. Throughout the journey, he transforms into different vehicles and objects that help his friends on their journey.
