Charlie Chipmunk

Charlie is a chipmunk who is a friend to Reader Rabbit and his other friends in Wordville.

Appearance[]

Charlie is a anthropomorphic chipmunk with brown fur. His fur is light brown around his eyes and on his lower face down to his belly. He has short buck teeth, a black nose, a small tuft of fur on his head, and a long, bushy tail with a light brown fur stripe. He also has long whiskers, except in his appearance in Reader Rabbit 1st Grade.

Charlie wears a red baseball cap and a white and red striped shirt. In Reader Rabbit 1st Grade, he wears the same cap, but his shirt is solid white with a red neckline.

In the DVD movies and e-books, Charlie, now named "Chip," has the same physical appearance with a different color scheme. His fur is light brown and beige, and he wears a blue and red baseball cap and a blue and white striped shirt.

In the Games[]

Reader Rabbit Kindergarten[]

Charlie makes his debut in Reader Rabbit Kindergarten as the counselor of Camp Happy Tales. In the intro sequence, he calls Mat the Mouse and notifies her about Spike the Porcupine's theft of the essential items for the campfire party. When Mat arrives, they prepare a list of items to find for the party. Charlie also occasionally makes some announcements about the status of the campers' trip throughout the game via Lenny the Loudspeaker, depending on the player's progress. At the end of the game, he hosts the campfire party and cheers for Mat for saving it along with their friends and the campers.

Reader Rabbit 1st Grade[]

In Reader Rabbit 1st Grade, Charlie works as a stage hand for the theater, keeping track of all the items needed for Wordville's Really Big Show.

Reader Rabbit Math Adventures Ages 6-9[]

In Reader Rabbit Math Adventures Ages 6-9, Charlie, along with the rest of the Wordville critters, appears in the crowd during the intro sequence, where the boat race is about to begin. He is seen in the crowd as Reader Rabbit runs along the dock, entering the race.
