Reader Rabbit 1 is a video game released by The Learning Company in early/mid 1991. It is a remake of Reader Rabbit and features music and sound, a 256 color graphical makeover and a new interface. The game was re-released in 1993 for Windows, mostly containing the same graphics with different fonts. An updated version, Reader Rabbit 1 Deluxe, was released in 1994 for Windows and Macintosh. Another updated version was released in 1997, having been re-titled as Reader Rabbit's Reading 1 later that year.

- Although the cover art shows Reader in a red T shirt and blue overalls, he just wears a red sweater in the actual game. This outfit is also common with the late 1994 to 1996 games.
- This is the first game where Reader appears on the cover in the form of a cartoon rather than a toy.
