Trivia[]

  • In this game, Sam the Lion is voiced by Roger L. Jackson, as opposed to his main 1990s voice actor, Pete Shoemaker.
  • This game, along with Reader Rabbit Kindergarten and Reader Rabbit 1st Grade, was promoted by Sun Maid raisins in 1999.
  • This is one of two only Reader Rabbit games to have a score system, the other being Reader Rabbit Math Adventures Ages 6-9.
  • On the original cover, Reader is not wearing gloves, unlike on most other game covers at the time.
  • This is the only grade-based 1990s game to not be localized in French or Spanish.
  • This is the only grade-based 1990s game to not feature Mat the Mouse.
  • In the 2000 release, the scene where Sam enters the castle to sign the guestbook is omitted, as the sign-in screen appears before the main game rather than after the intro sequence. This is also the case with other grade-based games aimed at 3 to 8 year-olds that were re-released in 2000.
  • The image on the cover of the UK Personlised version is mirrored.
  • In the original UK version, Reader says the title just before it appears.
  • The age range in the US Version goes up to 8 while the UK version goes up to 7
  • On the original cover art, Reader has bare hands just like in-game, but on the 1999 and 2000 covers, he has white gloves.
  • On the title screen of the original release, the chalkboard is dark blue in the US version whereas in the UK version, it is light blue.
